BANANA bread - healthy & vegan

Are you having another one of those cravings and looking for your next sweet but healthy snack? Or do you simply want to make someone’s day? Bake them some banana bread!

This no-fail recipe makes the best moist and tastiest banana bread you will find! It contains no sugar & is vegan!

Banana bread is magic.


  • 3 ripe Bananas (meaning the bananas that have brown spots)

  • 200gr Oats

  • 60gr Coconut sugar

  • 60gr Chocolate chips (or crushed in pieces yourself)

  • 50gr Walnuts

  • A large spoon of Almond butter (or other nut butter of your choice)

  • Chia "egg" (2 teaspoons chia seeds & 6 teaspoons water)

  • 10gr Baking Soda

  • 2 teaspoons Apple Vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • Vanilla extract

  • A pinch of salt

How to:

  • Make the Chia egg: Add 2tsp of chia seeds to 6tsp of water in a bowl/glass. Stir well to mix everything together. Let it rest for 5-10minutes. It will become a gel, that's perfect!

  • Dry Ingredients: Blend the oats until they form a firm flour. Add to the mix all of the dry ingredients: baking soda, coconut sugar, cinnamon & salt.

  • Wet Ingredients: Mash the bananas with a fork or potato masher and then stir in the nut butter, chia egg, apple vinegar & vanilla extract. Mix well, to have a nice smooth texture.

  • Combine both dry & wet ingredients together & add the chocolate chips & walnuts (crushed in small pieces). Stir everything just until blended. Don’t overdo it!

  • Pour the batter into a prepared loaf pan, smooth out the top, and sprinkle with some extra chocolate chips on top if you like.

  • Bake for 50 to 60 minutes in an oven of 180degres.

  • Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing...
