This cheesy egg toast is one of those: crispy, melty, nourishing, and ready in minutes.
Perfect for busy mornings, slow weekends, or when you just want something warm & satisfying without overthinking it.

What you need
2 slices of sourdough bread
Old Gouda cheese (for that deep, rich flavor)
Chicken filet
Butter (I use ghee)
1 egg
Salt & pepper
How to make it
Butter both slices of bread
(don’t skip this; it gives that perfect crisp)
Add your filling
Cheese + chicken filet
Close the sandwich
Press the center down with a glass
Create a little “hole” in the middle
Crack the egg into the center
Season with salt & pepper
Airfryer: 8 minutes at 200°C
(or oven until golden & crispy)
A little tip
Use wide bread slices so your egg stays perfectly in place. And don’t be afraid to let it get golden… that crunch is everything
